Quture is a social fashion exchange platform where individuals discover and exchange pieces. We are here to combine social medias and second-hand apparel exchange platforms

CHALLENGES

Clothes are becoming more expensive, and many people are looking for affordable alternatives. Second-hand options offer a way to access quality fashion without breaking the bank.

Second-hand online shopping is inefficient and fragmented. Users often struggle with navigating platforms that lack intuitive design, leading to a tedious and ineffective buying process.

Our goal is to make purchasing Only an Afterthought

RESEARCH

In my customer interviews, I discovered that the issues customers face go beyond just logistical challenges. Emotional and psychological barriers, like uncertainty and a lack of confidence in their purchasing decisions, play a significant role. While some are aware of their needs, they struggle to trust their choices, and others are unsure of how to begin resolving their pain points.

Regardless of their background or experience, the absence of a trustworthy platform to support them in navigating the second-hand fashion market is a critical hurdle. Although they value sustainability and convenience, there’s a gap in offering personalized guidance and solutions that can truly address their frustrations.

PAINPOINTS

BUYERS

Tedious and fragmented process to discover, define, and exchange personal style across multiple platforms (social media, search engines, and eCommerce sites).

Difficulty finding quality second-hand apparel that aligns with personal taste.

Frustration with lack of personalized content, leading to an overwhelming experience while sifting through generic listings.

SELLERS/LISTERS

Struggle to reach targeted buyers, especially those looking for unique, curated fashion pieces.

Limited tools to effectively showcase products to buyers who care about both style and sustainability.

Difficulty managing multiple listings across platforms with a lack of integration for social media engagement and sales.

USER STORY

1. As a Gen Z shopper, I want to discover second-hand fashion items that match my style preferences so that I can easily find items that suit my taste.

As a user, I want to create a digital version of my wardrobe so that the system can suggest new items that match or complement what I already own.

As a content creator, I want to create and share fashion boards (similar to Pinterest) using Quture products so that I can inspire others and gain followers.

As a buyer, I want to rate and review sellers and products so that I can help other users make informed purchasing decisions.

RISKS

DATA AND PRIVACY RISKS: Collecting and processing personal data (e.g., wardrobe details, shopping preferences) could expose the platform to privacy concerns and potential breaches

Implement robust encryption and ensure compliance with privacy laws (such as GDPR). Provide clear options for users to control their data and opt-in for features.

TECHNOLOGICAL RISKS: Offering too many advanced features (AI wardrobe, visual search, fashion boards) could confuse or overwhelm users, negatively impacting their overall experience.

Prioritize user research to focus on the most valuable features and simplify the interface to avoid overwhelming users with too many options.

USER ENGAGEMENT RISKS: The platform might struggle to attract and retain users, especially in a competitive second-hand fashion market, leading to low engagement and fewer transactions.

Develop a strong marketing strategy that highlights Quture's unique value propositions, such as AI-driven personalization and creative fashion boards.

LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE RISKS: The platform could face legal challenges, such as handling disputes between buyers and sellers, ensuring proper copyright for user-generated content (fashion boards), and adhering to second-hand goods regulations.

Implement clear terms of service and policies to address buyer-seller disputes, and establish proper content moderation guidelines. Ensure compliance with laws related to selling second-hand goods and intellectual property.
